Jul 9, 2020 · Lifetime warranty gave me a new alternator. Put it in an hour ago n it still has the same red lightning bolt n won't start. EVERYTHING works inside just won't start. It does crank n I've tried resetting the electronic throttle control via a jeep forum QnA with neg result. Inserted the key fob to start with neg result. Switch the ignition key so that it is “on” but don’t start the vehicle and wait for the warning light to go away. Apply pressure on the accelerator all the way down to the car’s floor. Slowly release your foot until it is back to its resting position. Turn the key to “off” mode and restart the car.
