Sadly no. The game doesnt have a way to designate a 'player controlled' area. Only where, and how dense it can respawn zombies. So if you build a base in a dense area like downtown, leave long enough to trigger respawns, and return you'll find zombies roaming around your base inside and out smashing everything in sight.1.
