Chevy malibu cranks but wont start
None of those codes should be keeping the engine from starting. has spark and pulse. still no start with starter fluid. It has to start and run for a few seconds by spraying starter fluid directly into the throttle body while someone else cranks the engine if you have spark from the coils.When spraying Start Fluid in the Intake it will start and crank, but of course shuts off shortly after. The P0420 is a Catalyst System Low Efficiency code and is highly unlikely to cause a no-start. The P062B is a Control Module Fuel Injector Control Performance code and would seem to be a good place to start.California. It turns over fine and runs like a champ but getting it to start is the trick. I thought it was the fuel pump and/or fuel filter so both replaced twice! But nothing helped.
