Becs has been a pretty amazing amateur and it's clear she has upside given she's never trained professionally. The qualifying time is 2:29:30, while her PR is 2:37:01. That 2:37:01 came at New York, which is regarded as a fairly challenging course with some significant hills.Becs Gentry finishes fourth overall female at British Olympic Marathon Trials. She will miss out (just barely) on joining the Olympic team, but she set a massive personal best in the marathon.
