This is a plate of fossil trackways (cruziana) from a burrowing trilobite, collected near Kansas City, Missouri. These are trackways preserved in a section of rock and would be Pennsylvanian in age. The longest trackway is 1.3" long and the rock measures 3.6 x 2". Trilobites were a very diverse group of extinct marine arthropods.B: Trilobite burrows interpreted as Cruziana goldfussi, which has been recovered previously from the eastern flanks of Al Kufrah Basin in Jabal Eghei and assigned to the Lower Ordovician ...

Closer examination shows, however, that the Cambrian homeomorph ( Cruziana pectinata n. sp.) has a significantly different scratch pattern. This raises the question whether the multiple scratches of the Ordovician Cruziana rugosa were also made by ...From an unpublished paper written in 1961, Patrick Nutt at Longwood Gardens did indeed attempt the cross amazonica x cruziana in the same season that he produced seeds of the cruziana x amazonica cross ('Longwood Hybrid'). The amazonica x cruziana cross DID produce seeds but, because they didn't sprout, were presumed unviable.
