Ram 2500 stuck in 4th gear
1. Aug 31, 2020. #1. I was wondering if anyone has had or heard of this issue. I have a 2019 (5th gen) Ram 1500 Big Horn (Hemi with 8HP75 transmission). After having it for about 8 months, after startup, driving through 3rd gear, when transmission shifts out of 3rd and before 4th, engine rpms increase (feels like it is in neutral) then hard ...4.7. 2013 1500. Put truck in 4 Hi and now it's stuck in. It done this a while back and the fuse was blown. No blown fuse now. Service 4 wheel drive light is on. No loose connection or pinched wires that I can see. When you first turn the key on, the little red light for neutral under the 4 wheel drive selector knob come on for a couple seconds ...Engine. 6.4L Hemi. The problem lies in the valve body. Basically all the problems with these transmissions are valve body related and the poor machining and casting quality of the components resulting in leakage. The rest of the transmission is generally pretty stout, with no real concerns, to the best of my knowledge.
