Sep 18, 2023 · To check your Wi-Fi signal strength: Open the Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Tap or click HomePod, then tap or click the Settings button . Scroll down to Wi-Fi Network. The Wi-Fi signal strength indicator appears next to your network name. If the signal strength indicator shows two bars or fewer , your Wi-Fi signal strength is weak. This is also happening to one of my pairs. No matter how I try to control it, the volume reverts back to a specific volume level. It's incredibly frustrating and so far only happening on one pair that got auto updates to 15. However I CAN still adjust it manually on the top of a HomePod.

The Gen 2 volume buttons are hard to see, but they should work. Mine do.
