These prices are insane…don’t get me wrong there is some labor involved but $700+ to pull the fairly easily accessible valve covers is crazy. Figure ~4hrs tops to do this if you’re taking your time. I could probably do it in two hours as I’ve done a couple Honda valve jobs. 1st adjustment at ~195k miles No valve noise on start up and noticeable improvement in power. After 2 days the valve noise started to come back then gradually increased in noise. 2nd adjustment at ~205k miles No valve noise on start up. That car has 218k miles on it and has never had a repair. Tires, oil, brakes, wiper blades, and now a valve adjustment.
