The Historic Jayhawk Theatre resides in Downtown Topeka, KS. This non-profit theatre is continuing to preserve history while delivering out of this world performances on stage! Still fundraising to complete it's full restoration, the Jayhawk hosts man events throughout the year, including concerts, plays, interactive productions, and classes for dancing and acting.Jim Hudson replaced him in 2003 for three years before leaving for Arizona State University. David Clemmer replaced him in 2006-2011. The current Director of the Marching Jayhawks, Dr. Matthew O. Smith, arrived at KU in 2011.
