I managed to fix it, but the issue with the red flashing power button is that it can stem from several different issue. I disassembled the entire thing, unplugged every cable to the carriage (all motors, tool sensors, main ribbon cable, and print and cut sensor) and plugged them all back in all the way, after that, it started working just fine.
