Just let it chase you and get someone's house or a rock or 3 between you and the Spino. Kite it round and take shots with the bow/crossbow with tranq arrows. Wait around 3 seconds between shots so that it's Torpo meter can fill up, if you just shoot like mad you will waste arrows. Posted May 23, 2016. Tranq arrows (and darts) both do immediate topor plus topor over time. However, the topor over time does stack, but in sequence, not in parallel. For example, using a crossbow, a tranq arrow hits for 35 damage (to health), plus 70 topor and then another 87.5 spread over 4 seconds (21.875/second).Lead the spino into the trap and tranq it down. When taming, make sure to watch its torpor as it drains quite fast! METHOD 2: Trapless. Very easy to perform. Find a spino and tranq it down, and chase it when it runs (Do note the spino is EXTREMELY fast). Also clear the area of nasties (I lost my spino to a Therizino), they like to aggro on ...Tame it. Get some tranq arrows. Find a place to hit it from out of reach and become it's master. Get a good xbow, or two/three if they're only primitive. Have 100 tranq arrows (you won't need that many, but as it moves about you'll miss shots) stand on a cliff above it, and shoot, wait 3 or so seconds between shots. If it runs into/towards water, stop shooting and wait until it starts running back to attack you before you attack it again.Torpor goes up by level regardless, and it can't be raised. Tranq arrows if I remember correctly do 100 torpor over a specified period of time (3-5 seconds?) and it doesn't stack, so if you fire 10 arrows rapidly into something it will cap at 1000 - torpor decrease rate over 30 to 50 seconds, making sure to space your shots at 4 second intervals a level 9 or so bronto has around 1880 torpor ... ….
